About the Book

How well do you really know your family?

When Jane’s father dies, her mother, Brenda, makes a tearful confession that her husband saved her from a dark and dangerous past. But before she can say more, she clams up and refuses to speak of it again. Then Brenda vanishes.

She can barely walk without her frame. She doesn’t drive. So where has she gone?

Jane throws herself into the search, tracking down her mother’s old friends and relatives. The more she digs, the more secrets she uncovers about her mother’s hidden past.

Then Jane’s husband, Trevor, starts avoiding her questions, and trying to stall her search – and Jane begins to wonder if the people closest to her are the ones she should trust least…

A gripping psychological thriller about buried secrets, family betrayal, and the lies we tell to protect the people we love, My Mother’s Lies is perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Rona Halsall and Valerie Keogh.
