Pellerin Books acquires three genre-bending speculative thrillers by M.K. Hill

Jessie Sullivan and Laura Palmer, co-founders of Pellerin Books, have acquired world English-language rights in three books by M.K. Hill, for publication in paperback, e-book and audio from 2026.

The first title, The Strange Lives of Eleanor Teague, will publish in April 2026. Set in 1876, the novel follows Eleanor Teague, a grieving Victorian wife confined to a remote estate.

When her world begins to fracture – servants vanish, memories rearrange themselves and time itself seems to slip – Eleanor is forced to confront the terrifying possibility that she is losing her mind or that a sinister force is keeping her prisoner… A gothic psychological thriller takes a startling turn into high-concept speculative suspense with a mid-novel twist that shockingly redefines everything the reader believes to be true.

Alongside The Strange Lives of Eleanor Teague, Pellerin Books will publish two further novels: City of Hyde (Autumn 2026), a dark urban fantasy which imagines Victorian London abandoned and walled-up, and surviving into the modern world, and Flicker (Spring 2027), a near-future techno-thriller about a retired detective who encounters a holographic companion who may be a girl who went missing 40-years previously.

Jessie and Laura said: “This is one of those books you fall into and just can’t stop reading – especially after the midway twist when everything you think you know is turned on its head.

This is a mind-bending, genre-blending book from a truly original author, and we can’t wait to hear what readers think.”

MK Hill said: ‘I’m having an absolute blast working with Laura and Jessie, who have long excelled at bringing out the best in authors. I hope my books for Pellerin will tickle the dark fancy of book lovers everywhere.’
